用韓劇 BTS 防彈少年團教英文介系詞
你可能覺得自己英文不好。但如果我說一句話，你大概會改觀。
"Butter"。
你知道這是什麼意思。奶油。你也知道這首歌在講什麼，因為你聽過，你跟著哼過，你甚至可能看過 MV 裡七個人穿白色西裝在電梯裡跳舞的畫面。
BTS 的歌名裡藏著一堆介系詞。"Permission to Dance"、"Dynamite"、"Butter"、"Boy with Luv"、"Life goes on"。你會唱，你會念，你只是不知道你已經在用介系詞了。
今天我用 BTS 的歌、訪談、和他們說過的英文句子，帶你把最常搞混的介系詞全部理清楚。
不用背。聽歌就好。
in / on / at：點、面、空間
這三個是最基本的介系詞，也是最多人搞混的。我教你一個記法：at 是一個點，on 是一個面，in 是一個空間。
at：精確的點
時間上，at 用在精確的時刻。
BTS 的演唱會開始 at 7 PM.
地點上，at 用在你認為是一個「點」的地方。
We performed at the UN General Assembly.
聯合國大會是一個確切的地點，是一個「點」。BTS 在 2018 年去紐約聯合國總部演講，RM 說了那段很有名的 "Speak Yourself" 演說。at the UN，點。
Jim 在訪談裡說過：
I was surprised at how many fans were waiting for us at the airport.
at the airport。機場是一個「到達點」，你去那裡是為了某個目的（接機、搭飛機），所以用 at。
on：接觸的面
時間上，on 用在日期和星期。
BTS released "Dynamite" on August 21, 2020.
地點上，on 用在表面接觸。
The members stood on stage at the Grammy Awards.
舞台是一個平面，你站在上面，所以 on stage。但 Grammy Awards 是一個事件、一個地點，所以 at。
on 還有一個用法：在交通工具的「上面」。
We traveled on a bus to the concert venue.
你坐在公車上，腳踩在車地板上，是「面的接觸」，所以 on a bus。但如果是 in a car，因為你「坐進去」車子裡面，所以用 in。這個規則不是完全一致的（on a plane 但 in a car），但大部分情況下，大交通工具用 on，小交通工具用 in。
in：包起來的空間
時間上，in 用在較長的時段。
"Butter" topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021.
in 2021，一整年是一個空間。
We practiced in the studio for ten hours.
錄音室是一個封閉的空間，你在裡面，所以 in。
Suga 在紀錄片裡講過一句話：
I spent most of my youth in this small practice room.

by / until / during：時間的三個面向
這三個介系詞都跟時間有關，但它們看時間的角度不一樣。
by：截止點
by 的意思是「在...之前完成」。你看的是那個截止線。
BTS had sold over 20 million albums by 2020.
到 2020 年為止，累計超過兩千萬張。你看的是 2020 那條線，之前發生的事。
We need to finish the choreography by Friday.
星期五之前要完成。deadline 的概念。
until：持續到某點
until 的意思是「從現在（或某個起點）一直持續到那個點」。
We practiced until 3 AM.
從晚上開始練，一直練到凌晨三點。過程在那個時間點結束。
Jungkook 在一個綜藝節目上說：
I can't sleep until I get the dance moves right.
動作不對就不睡。until 表示那個條件達成之前，狀態不會改變。
during：某段時間內發生
during 的意思是「在某段時間的範圍之內」。
During the concert, RM spoke to the fans in English.
演唱會進行的那段時間裡，RM 用英文跟粉絲說話。
During our break, we usually eat together.
休息的那段時間裡。during 強調的是「在那個時段內」，不是起點也不是終點。

with / without：有與沒有
這組很直觀，但 BTS 的歌詞裡用得特別多。
with：一起、伴隨
"Boy with Luv" — 有愛的男孩
with 在這裡表示「擁有、伴隨著」。
We performed with Halsey at the Billboard Music Awards.
跟 Halsey 一起表演。with 表示「和某人一起」。
I'm happy with our progress.
對我們的進展感到滿意。happy with 是固定搭配。
without：沒有
Without our fans, we wouldn't be here.
沒有粉絲，就沒有今天的我們。without 引導一個條件。
We can't perform without each other.
少了任何一個人都不行。without 表示「缺乏」。
RM 在一次訪談中說：
I can't imagine my life without music.
沒有音樂的人生，無法想像。
with 還有一個用法：帶著、用
She wrote the song with a piano.
用鋼琴寫的。with 表示「使用的工具」。
He looked at me with a smile.
帶著微笑看我。with 表示「伴隨的狀態」。
about / for：關於與為了
about：關於
This song is about self-love.
這首歌是關於自愛的。about 引出主題。
We talked about our future plans.
我們聊了關於未來的計畫。
BTS 的 "Love Yourself" 系列就是 about self-acceptance。about 在這裡是最自然的用法。
for：為了、給
This concert is for our fans.
這場演唱會是為粉絲辦的。for 表示「為了誰」。
We've been working for ten years.
我們已經努力了十年。for 表示持續的時間長度。
Thank you for everything.
謝謝你的一切。thank you for 是固定搭配。
V 在一次頒獎典禮上說：
Thank you for believing in us.
謝謝你們相信我們。for 引出感謝的原因，in 引出相信的對象。一句話裡兩個介系詞，而且都不能換。
你不能說 Thank you of believing on us. 那就不像英文了。
BTS 的 Konglish：韓文裡的英文介系詞
這是一個很有趣的現象。BTS 說韓文的時候，常常直接插入英文片語，而且介系詞用法是對的。
RM 說過：我們 in the end 會成功的。
韓文句子裡插了 in the end，介系詞 in 用法正確。
Suga 說過：At first 我什麼都不會。
at first 是固定搭配，「一開始」。
Jimin 說過：I'm on fire today.
on fire 是比喻，「狀態超好」。
這些 Konglish 句子說明一件事：介系詞不是靠規則背出來的，是靠大量接觸自然學會的。BTS 的成員不是在英文課上學到 in the end 的，他們是在反覆聽、反覆用的過程中記住的。
這也告訴你一個學習方向：多聽、多接觸英文的實際使用場景，比死背介系詞表格有用得多。

- by — by watching，用某種方式。也可能是 from watching，但 by 更強調「透過」。
- in, during — 住在空間裡用 in；在某段時間內用 during。
- in, of — in the middle of 是固定搭配，「在...的中間」。
- in, in — 年份用 in，城市用 in。
- at, in — the UN 是地點用 at；月份用 in。
- in, in — in the military 是固定搭配；月份用 in。

結語
介系詞是英文裡最「靠感覺」的東西，但感覺是可以培養的。BTS 的成員不是英文母語者，他們的介系詞也是從大量接觸中學會的。
你不需要去韓國當練習生。你只需要多聽英文歌、多看英文訪談、多讀英文歌詞。每次遇到一個介系詞，停下來想一下：為什麼用這個？能不能換？
